“I run a wedding venue where, amongst other services, we offer bar and beverage services to our clients. We've had a wine list which hasn't changed much since the inception of our bar services. The selections were chosen based on the suggestion of account reps with our large wholesale vendors. The wines were selected because they fit a price and varietal guideline but were likely what the wholesaler was trying to push. After taking one of Laura's wine classes it was clear to me that, in this wide world of wine, there were so many other products that would provide our clients with a much better experience all while keeping our business needs in mind. Laura displayed such an incredible knowledge of the wine industry, I knew she would be just the person to help me weed through the seemingly endless options available to us. Laura understands the unique challenges of hosting beverage services for events, finding products that will provide clients with a unique and elevated experience without feeling intimidating to the client. During our call we looked at our current list and reviewed ways that we could elevate and update our wine list. She kept in mind the fact that we have a small wine list and helped map out ways to present a well rounded offering to our guests.  Laura gave sourcing recommendations as well as clear and detailed notes about what to look for in the products. I felt like she truly understood the goal and helped take what originally felt like an incredibly overwhelming project and equipped me with the knowledge to talk the talk with wine reps & find my way to products that will help us reach our goal. Based on our conversations I believe these updates will be a welcome change to our current wine list and improve our offered services to clients.”
