Hi, Iā€™m Laura BOwman

From a young age, I was granted fierce independence in the kitchen which ultimately lead to my work in professional kitchens and encouraged me to attend the the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York to pursue a career in food and hospitality.

During my time at the CIA, I fell in love with the world of wine. I spent my early twenties cooking and learning about wine in Hudson Valley, NY, Napa Valley, CA and the north of France. I graduated The CIA with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and concentration in Advanced Beverage and Hospitality.

During my early career I most notably trained in the kitchens of Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown, New York and Robert Sinskey Vineyards in Napa, California. In 2018, I moved back to Western MA to be closer to my family and open Blue Door Gatherings. As Blue Door has grown I have had more time to further pursue my original passions for food and wine. In 2023 I began consulting and offer support to other small businesses.
